Christmas 2008!!

What a wonderful Christmas we had! Emercyn got to spend time at both grandparent's houses, which she very much enjoyed!! Here's just a glimpse of our great time together!!

Christmas Party!!!

Emercyn and I had a little Christmas party with some of our friends. I've become great friends with 3 ladies (Heather, Sarah, and Melisa) who also have little girls. They are all very close in age with Emercyn, and she LOVES playing with them! We got them together to decorate cookies and a gingerbread snowman, and to exchange Christmas ornaments. We had SO MUCH FUN!

Santa is SCARY......to Miss E, that is!

Well, this was our second try with Santa this year. This is the best picture we've got. Notice the rubber ducky in her hand? The photographer was using it to try to get her to smile, and he even let her hold it thinking it would calm her down. Poor guy! He sure was trying! Oh well!! This will be a memory that I'm sure will be fun to look back on!

Jason and I both were in the picture last year, so this is an improvement! ;)

Date Night!!

Mommy and Daddy decided they needed a date night! :) We went to Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse in Bricktown (yummy) and then watched the movie "Twilight"! This is my new FAVORITE movie! I absolutely loved every second of it! I can't wait to see it again!!! I haven't read the books yet, but after seeing the movie I'm dying to start reading the series. My sister has them and is loaning them to me......can't wait!

We had a great date night!! Can't wait to go again!!

Hide and Seek!

This is Miss E's favorite new game. I play it with her at least once a day, if not more. She LOVES to be the person that counts and then finds the hider. She counts (sometimes to 5, sometimes to 10, sometimes to 2!), and then says "ready or not, here I come"! When she "finds" me or Jason, she gets so excited. "I found you! I found you!" And then she runs back to her little spot to start counting.

I've gotta teach her a new game!! :)

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!

I LOVE Christmas! Jason and I put our tree up a little early this year (the week before Thanksgiving). I was worried E would mess with it and it would be a constant headache, but I was wrong! I explained once that she can look, but not touch. She "pretends" to hug it every once in a while, and sometimes I'll catch her blowing it kisses.....but other than that, she hasn't really even cared that it's there! Now, when I get our gifts under the tree....that may be a different story!

We took a family picture for our church's new directory. It turned out pretty good! Emercyn thought the photographer was pretty funny, so it made for some great pictures!

It's a GIRL!!!!

Jason and I had our 18 week ultrasound today. We found out we're having a very healthy baby girl!! Another precious girl! We are so excited! Emercyn will be such a great big sister! :)

Belly Pics!

I've had several requests for a belly shot of me, so I had Jason take one last night. I'm 17 weeks pregnant.

Check back next week to find out the sex of baby #2 is!! We get to find out on Tuesday!!! We're taking Emercyn to the ultrasound. I think it might help things "sink in" for her to see the baby on the screen!

Gymnastics Fun!!!

I just have to brag on my little darling for a minute. When we first started gymnastics in August, it was a total mess. I hated going and absolutely dreaded it. Emercyn would not sit still and listen to the teacher, would not wait in line for her turn, and was just a complete crazy child all around! We left early from class a few times in the beginning, and several times she had to be put in time out! After a few weeks of me being consistant, she made a total turn-around! She now sits and listens to the teacher, waits patiently in line, does what she is supposed to, and has so much fun!!!! I now look forward to the class each week! I'm just so proud of my baby girl!!

Pink Toes!!

Emercyn got her finger nails and toe nails painted for the first time today. She HATES her nails to be trimmed; it's usually a big fight. So I haven't even tried to paint them, knowing it would be a huge mess. Today, she asked me to give her "pink toes" after noticing my pink toe nails. She did so good! She sat so still, and even sat still long enough for them to dry! Then she got so excited, she decided she needed "pink fingers"! Her little nails are so darn cute! She's a very girly girl (loves jewelry, clothes, purses, etc), so I knew this would be something she'd eventually enjoy!!

Miss E had a BLAST trick-or-treating! She said "trick-or-treat" and "thank you" at every house! :) She got so excited every time we got to a new house....and even more excited for the candy in her basket!
