Gone Fishing! :)

Jason took Emercyn to Sentinel/Granite last weekend to go fishing. Gramma and Grandad went too! Emercyn had a GREAT time!!! She absolutely loved it....and keeps asking when she can go again. It was too hot to take Harper, so we spent the day shopping with Nana!

Date Night!!

Jason and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary on June 7th. My mom (aka Nana) came up to keep the girls while we went out to eat and to the movies. The girls were great for my Mom! And Jason and I really enjoyed spending some alone time with each other!

Mya Marie Pritchett!!!

In April, my older sister and her husband adopted a BEAUTIFUL baby girl into their family! They named her Mya Marie! For those of you that don't know, this is their second child. They have Mattie, who will be 5 in October. My sister is a diabetic, and after having Mattie they decided it would be in the best interest of Lindsay's health to expand their family by adopting. We are so glad they did, because baby Mya is such a sweet and wonderful addition to our family!!!! She was born in March.....just 6 weeks older than Harper!! Lindsay and I are so excited that our girls are so close in age!! We just know they will be the best of friends.....like Mattie and Emercyn!

Update!!!

It's been a month since I've had a chance to update! Things have been busy in the Looper house!

Harper had her 2 month checkup last week. She weighs 13lbs 5oz! She gained 3 pounds in one month! Her pediatrician told me that he likes to see babies at this age gain about 2 pounds a month, so she is doing VERY well! :) She is 22 & 3/4 inches long, so she has grown almost 3 inches since birth! I looked at Emercyn's baby book, and at her 2 month checkup she was 12lbs and 7oz. So Harper is a little bigger than E was at this age (and E was almost 2 pounds bigger at birth)! Wow! Emercyn was 23 & 1/4 inches at 2 months, so she was a little longer.

Harper is doing very well! She smiles and coos at us, which we absolutely love! She really responds to her big sister's voice! She is a very happy and content baby, which definitely makes things easy when I also have a 2.5 year old to take care of!! She is a great sleeper....usually sleeping 7-8 hours at night.

Emercyn's doing great as well! She's still loving having a baby sister, and is such a wonderful helper! She will be 3 years old in September, so next month we will start planning her party.....which will be at Build-a-Bear! She is a very active and spirited little girl! She has quite the imagination too (which my mom says reminds her so much of how I was as a little girl). Just the other day when her Gramma and Grandad were here, she was pretending dinosaurs were in the bedrooms and the hall was their cave! She made Gramma and Grandad "count the dinosaurs" with her! She will start Mother's Day Out in the fall, which will be 2 days a week. And she will also start dance classes very soon....so she has a lot to look forward to!

Jason and I are staying busy ourselves.....on top of raising two babies! Jason's enjoying playing on the church softball team, taking Emercyn fishing, and playing golf with friends. I've enjoyed taking the girls to playdates, meeting my friends for supper, and just relaxing and having family time on the weekends. I'm enjoying not having too much to do this summer.....because once the fall hits, I'll be SUPER busy!
